In this series, I use alcohol inks on Yupo paper to explore how identity shifts and evolves within the African American experience. Each portrait emerges from the flowing colors and textures.  As the inks move and settle unpredictably, the portraits emerge, capturing both individuality and the broader cultural currents that shape us. By including my own likeness alongside other subjects to highlight the shared resilience and individuality that define who we are and how we continue to transform. The interplay of fluid forms and portraiture celebrates individuality and reflects a culture that’s always finding new ways to define itself
